Since its founding in 1824, Braquenié has remained one of the most prestigious textile houses in France. As official suppliers to the court of Napoleon III, Braquenié was also chosen for the Vatican, the Louvre, and countless country mansions and private residences throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Known for its elaborate Indian fabrics, Braquenié also contributed to the art of tapestry in Aubusson. In 1991 Braquenié joined the Pierre Frey group and continues to represent the French art de vivre through their textiles, wallpapers and carpets.
