Loro Piana Interiors Newsletter on “Cashmere Life” At Miart

The Loro Piana “Cashmere Life” At Miart article, as featured in Loro Piana Interiors Newsletter.

Milan, 8-10 April: for the second year running, the Loro Piana “Cashmere Life” lounge decorated with Loro Piana Interiors fabrics welcomed customers and guests visiting Miart, the international modern and contemporary art fair.

An original work by the American artist Sheila Hicks crafted with exclusive Loro Piana linen yarns embellished the lounge. The textile artist’s unique installation of multi-colored yarns, transformed into surprising shapes with vibrant energetic nuances, created the perfect setting for those art lovers, collectors and members of the international press willing to indulge in a short break during their visit. On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, the new Loro Piana Interiors showroom in Via Bigli 21 showcased some of these unprecedented artworks.

The Loro Piana Interiors new Metropolis collection was in the foreground, displayed in a basic but welcoming setting where the balance of tones and choice of materials enhanced the exclusive works of art there exhibited.

The linear shapes and volumes of the armchairs were exalted by Samsara, a juta, linen and cotton plain-weave, available in natural tones. The armchairs were enriched with cushions in Mystic River, a blend of linen and the best Egyptian cotton, in Lolita, a silk and viscose canneté, and in the pure wool Lancelot, proposed in the pepper grain tone. It is an intense nuance, balanced by the delicate pastel hue of the silk velvet Jaipur chosen for the other armchairs trimmed in Flannel fabrics, a wool and cashmere blend.
